The DC182 contactor has been designed for direct current loads, particularly motors as used on electric vehicles such as industrial trucks and airport tractors.The DC182 has double breaking main contacts with silver alloy contact tips, which are weld resistant, hard wearing and have excellent conductivity. The DC182 main contact circuit, designed for motor reversing, is such that it has a built in failsafe, so that if both coils are energised simultaneously the contact arrangement is open circuits. The DC182 is a monoblock construction, resulting in a neat compact design which is compatible with modern electronic control systems. Main terminals can be configured in a variety of ways in order to suit the application.

Emergency Disconnecting Switches

The SD250 has been designed to provide a rapid means of disconnecting batteries or other power supplies in the event of serious electrical faults.The SD250 combines the dual function of a manual disconnect and coil operated line contactor. The benefits of this design include compact size and reduced installation costs combined with an electrical capacity sufficient for small and medium size electric vehicles.Whilst the switches are primarily intended for use with battery powered vehicles, they are also suitable for use with static power systems. All types are capable of safely rupturing full load battery currents in the event of an emergency.

The ED250 range of switches have been designed to provide a rapid means of disconnecting batteries or other power supplies in the event of serious electrical faults. Whilst the switches are primarily intended for use with battery powered vehicles they are also suitable for use with static power systems. All types are capable of safely rupturing full load battery currents in the event of an emergency. The ED250 is a manually operated device with an over-centre spring mechanism which provides a snap action for both opening and closing of the main contacts. The ED250 is easy to install (see drilling details) and is secured with supplied M5 posidrive mounting screws. Lockable versions feature a key which is necessary for the knob to be moved from the “Off” position to the “On” position. Once in the “On” position, the key can be removed. Thereafter, the knob may be depressed to the “Off” position where it will automatically lock and remain locked until the key is used again to unlock it. The ED250 is fully serviceable with genuine replacement parts available.

SW Range

The SW200 has been designed for direct current loads, including motors as used on electric vehicles such as industrial trucks. Developed for both interrupted and uninterrupted loads, the SW200 is suitable for switching Resistive, Capacitive and Inductive loads. The SW200 features single pole single throw, double breaking main contacts with silver alloy tips, which are weld resistant, hard wearing and have excellent conductivity. The SW200 has M10 stud main terminals and 6.3mm spade coil connections. It can be mounted via M5 tapped holes or mounting brackets – either supplied fitted, or as separate items. Mounting can be horizontal or vertical, when vertical the M10 contact studs should point upwards. If the requirement is for downwards orientation we can adjust the contactor to compensate for this.
